Terms and refunds
The rules in full, in plain words. Where a rule is still PSI's to set, the sentence says when it is published; nothing here is guessed.
Applying
Nothing is charged to apply, to be evaluated, or to receive an offer. An application is one player for one team. Staff review one full game on video, speak to the coach given as a reference, and read combine testing results where the player has them. A decision is sent within the published window after a complete application. Whether a player may apply for more than one team is stated on the application. To confirm
The offer and the deposit
An offer is for one team, by email, with the price and the date the offer expires. An offer is open for 7 days from the day it's made. Accept it and pay the USD 500 deposit inside those 7 days, and the spot is confirmed. The four instalment dates are set that day. An offer not accepted by its expiry lapses, and the spot goes to the next player evaluated.
Paying
You pay by card through Stripe when you accept an offer, and the four monthly instalments are charged to the same card on their dates, the last one 60 days before departure. Every price is in US dollars for every family; a card in another currency is converted by its issuer. Prices are per player and are published on each team's page before you apply.
If your plans change
The deposit is non-refundable. Beyond the deposit, the refund rule is a ladder dated from departure, published here in full before any deposit is taken. The shape of the ladder: more than a stated number of days before departure, everything beyond the deposit is refunded; inside a middle band, half; inside the last band, nothing. Trip-cancellation insurance is recommended at the deposit. Whether card-processing fees are deducted from a refund is stated with the ladder. To confirm
If PSI cancels
If PSI cancels a tour, every dollar comes back, the deposit included. A team runs with a minimum roster, published with the ladder, and the go/no-go date is published with it; if a team does not reach its minimum by that date, every dollar comes back. If the host organiser cancels its tournament, the refund rule for that case is published here before any deposit is taken. To confirm
Injury before departure
A player who cannot travel because of an injury or illness confirmed by a medical certificate is treated under a rule published here before any deposit is taken. To confirm
What is included, and what is not
In the price: tournament entry and the games; the PSI coaching staff for the whole tour; the team hotel, every night, with breakfast and dinner every day; a full-time local guide, airport to airport; ground transport on tour and the group outings; the kit. Not in the price: flights, travel medical insurance covering ice hockey (required for every player), lunches and spending money, and family travel packages, which are bought separately by room type. The 2027 kit is published before any deposit is taken.
Photographs
PSI photographs players on tour and may use the photographs on its site and social accounts. The public lineup card shows initials only. The full photo-consent wording, including how a family can ask that a photograph not be used, is published here before any deposit is taken. To confirm
